I try to adapt

Emmi's Girl on a Swing

I had so much fun making this for Emerson, that I had to find a way to adapt it for my grandson, Deacon. I thought about things a boy would do and came up with this.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

I thought about it, and happened to have in my possession a block made by my friend Krista with a kite on it. Oh yeah! And what is a boy without a dog? If there is a boy, there has to be a dog.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

You should give this a try. The tutorial is over at comfortstitching.

  1. Oh my gosh, these blocks are absolutely charming, both of them. Your grand son will love the dog and the kite! I love how you constructed the background. It's become almost three dimensional. Great start into the year. Hugs Vreni x
