This is my final placement of the blocks. And this baby is all together with a backing in a quilt sandwich waiting for me to decide how to quilt it. Once I work through the photos, I will post those pics.
Love how it turned out!!!! Any suggestions for quilting???
Well done! It's looking lovely. Are you going to quilt it by hand or machine.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out beautifully! I would be tempted to quilt concentric circles in each block (with the curves intersecting between blocks. BUT, I have some wild ideas. I sometimes put a piece of clear vinyl over my quilts and mark quilting lines on it with either crayon or some other removeable marker (so I can use it again). Then I can experiment.
ReplyDeleteHi Vickie! That is really wonderful with happy colours!

SO beautiful!! Your colors are always so bright and happy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous I think it needs minimal quilting (straight lines maybe?)
Love the way it has come together. Great colours!
ReplyDeleteQuilting ideas? You could pick out the design in some of the fabrics to copy in swirls or curls. At the other end of the scale it would also look good with lots of straight quilting horizontally and vertically, but not through the centre of each block. Good luck with your choices.
Oh my this is beautiful. I too made a quilt with the nest fabrics. I only wish I had show cased the prints a bit better.
