My husband's Grandma Angell's Pecan Pie

We made this scrumptious pie on Thanksgiving day at my mom-in-law's home. We did it on a whim and had a blast figuring everything out (including oven temp, baking time, oh....and butter the size of walnut). Of course, with the internet, that was pretty simple.


1 c dark Karo
3/4 c sugar
butter: size of walnut

Boil all of the above to thread. Cool.

2 heaping tsp flour
1/4 t nutmeg
2 eggs
1/2 c milk
2 t vanilla
1 c pecans

Mix together. 10" pan

Something else I spent time doing over Thanksgiving break.
